What a Great Summer.

We want to thank everybody for your choice to stay at The Big House Lodge this summer with family and friends. We were able to reserve a weekend for our Family Reunion and Grand Fathers 80th Birthday. It was such a treat to have the whole family including family from Wisconsin, some of which we have not seen in over fifteen years. We are so happy we have the ability to share this lodge and have many families experience the same joys we had this year. Looking forward to the winter fun, we are planning a big winter wonderland with lots of lights and Holiday displays here at the Big House Lodge.

7th Room and 8th bathroom available soon.

We will be making available a 7th room and grand bath, for next years calendar. we will keep you posted with details and photos when available. Go to big-house-lodge.com for more details.

Pete Lake

Hiking 30 minutes from Lodge

I explored some new trails the other day with my Uncle in the area who is an avid hiker/ironman competitor. He has been hiking this area for the last eight years and he took myself and our dog Hero up to Pete Lake. I can only tell you from my eyes how beautiful the Cascades are from the eastside of the Pass. It was a 4 mile in and hardly any elevation climb. A pretty easy hike. There were horseback riders on this trail and camping at the lake. If you spend some time here at The Big House and want a great 3 hour hike. Ask me for directions and I would be glad to direct you to this trail or others we have in this area.

Camp One Complete...

With our campsite One finished, my wife and I had our first night sharing stories around the campfire and retreating to our tent. What a success, when morning came, waking up in our tent was like being in a bird amphitheatre. Birds busy singing and the wind rustling the leaves above. And first things first, going back to the lodge for coffee and a shower.

New trails and Campsites.

I just began with our trails leading to campsites 1-3 that trail off of the Seceret Gardens. This is a fun place to explore. Very quite and in the depth of our forested land. Hope to have fully rendered in the next couple of weeks.

Coming Soon...

The Secret Gardens. With the snow gone less than a month ago, we have began preparing the grounds for summer time. Toward the canal nestled in the forest is the Secret Gardens. A small stream feeds and pond with water feature. 8 seated campfire pit, a kids secret play area and a beach. A tranquil spot to enjoy by yourself or with others.

Introduction

I set this up for people to ask question, give reviews, tell others their highlights of their stay, and to give good tips on what to do when visiting The Big House Lodge. I am your event planner and host, any questions you have feel free to ask.
